I was @ Fry's Electronics in Renton, Wa shopping for a new laptop. The 15 inch Mac Book retails for 1999.99! This is extravagant! There's laptops for 350.00 with bigger screens. Needless to say, I had passed on the purchase. After 2 hours checking out all the laptop and their price ranges, I got a Lenovo Y510P gaming laptop instead. It was on sale from 1300.00 to 1200.00 and it had very nice specs.

Mac Book is too damn expensive. I will buy one used on Ebay lolz. I got mad one day and I broke my $2000 dell laptop.

Stay away from used laptop man, get a new one always. :D

I'm still fighting myself on if I should get a gaming laptop or desktop.
decision. decision. :confused:

I already have a i7 gaming desktop but it's almost a year old. I like newer things.
I might need a laptop for school also, it's nice to bring something to play with in class.
decision. decision.

I still have $800 buck left with Best Buy store credit so I need to get something before I lose the card.

true true true....speakers too....Desktop will always be more powerful. Depends on your needs and of course, budget. Didnt you just buy a computer a few months ago?

Depends on your preferences man, you should consider..

screen size, resolution - I won't buy anything under 1080p and at least 15 inch.
dedicated graphics card or not one - I dont game on laptops so more money allocates to other specs
audio sound - some laptops have good sounds, I come to realize it possible lolz
the weight of the unit - they shouldn't be too heavy to carry around
brand and price - some brands will charge an arm and leg for the good stuff, some brands won't.
overall aesthetics - I want the unit to look good, not tacky, I dont like one half black, the other half chrome...some are plastics, some are metals...

for 800 bucks, stay away from Sony and Mac. Too pricey. Try a dell or Lenovo, Asus, and Acer. HP is a good buy for 800.
My gf's sister bought a fancy looking laptop from Sony Vaio for 800 bucks plus tax and it's crap! Its looks nice but runs like a 300-400 dell laptop. In my opinion, Lenovo/IBM is number 1 right now.

personally Windows always infected whatever u do. Some time even go to yahoo u can get adware, etc.. All those protection won't protect. I like Mac cuz so far i haven't catch any of those yet.

I guess windows use registry and infected very ez. to test this, i build a hackintosh on an intel pc. One hdd for mac and one for windows. I went to all bad site for both hdd and windows hdd got infected but mac not infected

That does sound time-consuming. How'd you learn to do this? I can fix a psp! I bought hella psp to refurbished and sell on ebay. I just been too busy to follow through lolz. I lost motivation because the profit margin wasn't too big, I could only make about 20 dollars per unit I sold.

I used to build pc and sold them. I did make a few hundred per pc but then i stop cuz some customers compliant abt why pc pop-up a lot of site or why they got infected... Come on man, i build pc does not mean it will protect ur pc from all those adsware, virus, etc.. blame to yourself on site u visited lol.. but u know, i don't say that.. I said in a professional way :)

If you buy pc from retail store, it's be the same..Virus/adsware etc... Basically, you can't protect all those even if u have the most expensive virus protection. The only way to protect is use common sense. Not clicking Yes to anything u not sure of, or site u visit, or when u install free app. Free/paid App using come w/adsware. U just gotta read b4 accepting lol.

I start learning how to build hackintosh, i think, a few year ago,, Snow Leopard OSx. http://www.khmerforums.com/threads/hackintosh.698/

But never get a chance to write it.

Back then i did a lot of stuffs. I also hook up satellite. I charge a one time fee and they get free channel. I meant all channels in US including porn lol... Now, I stop. I still do it but only very close friends but no more charging lol.. However this time their a yearly fee. The more ppl i can join with me, the cheaper we all split the cost evenly. Example, 1 code is $60 for one year. I have 10 ppl purchasing so it's only 180. That's $18 per person. I made no profit since they all my close friend and family :)

i agree. i have a mac. its great. i also run windows on it too
