Ok i'm gonna post it here since it related to Tech.

As everyone knew, phone get deprecate the next day it leave the store. Some don't even bother getting insurance for the phone 'casue it's expensive. I found and been using 3rd party insurance for some time now and it's totally cheap compare to AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, or AppleCare. The insurance company doesn't care when and where you bought the phone as long you have receipt. They cover everything except loss. When the claim is approved, they send you a check of today "market price" less any deducible. If needed for repair, they mail you prepaid envelope.

Example, for iPhone 6 16Gb. One year premium is $65 + $5 process fee and deductible is $50 per claim. Claim is unlimited. For theft, they need police report.

For Android phone, you select "cell phone" and select how much you want a coverage for. For a $799 coverage, premium is $79 + $5 and deductible $50

You can Google for promo code. Try promo code RADIO, it's 15% off

@believe I never use SquareTrade. I think it's more expensive compare to worthavegroup. SquareTrade gave you the item whereas worthavegroup gave you the check payable to you.

Good info, I didn't even think of third party insurance company for mobile. Have you had any experiences in filing claim with them yet Groupon?

Yes I did. And I even sign up for my cousin in-law for his MacBook Pro. His Mac got water damage. Submit a claim and they sent him a prepaid box. As for me, my phone screen crack and same time water damage, did a claim and they sent me a check. But i had to mail the phone at my expensive. sux on that part. Also, my ipad screen crack, submit a claim then they asked me to take to apple store for for out-of-warranty estimate. Submit that estimate and they mail me check to get a replacement :)

The process was easy and fast as long you follow my guide in post #2.
