How Many Wpm?

How many words can you type per minute? In my job search several companies require that I submit a typing certificate. So I got tested online and I'm amazed to find out that I type way slow: only 20 wpm. I do a lot of typing and I seem to type fast, but I guess not. However my accuracy is 99%. I should feel good about that? Heh.

Hey Hamster, 99% is awesome!

Just out of curiosity, I did a few different testings online myself.

If I sprint at my absolute fastest, I can do 78-80 WPM at 95-96% accuracy and I can last only 1 minute lol. At 2 minutes, I would drop to around 92% accuracy.

With fast-typing, I vary between 68-74 WPM at 96-97% accuracy. I can last around 5 minutes at this setting. At 10 minutes, my predicted accuracy would drop to around 94-95% at similar speed.

Without pushing (how I normally type at work), I average consistently around 58 WPM at 98% accuracy, and for a much longer period of time.

On relax mode (how I normally type online), I average around 50 WPM at 98% accuracy.

I grew up on Mario Teaches Typing. :D Still galaxy away from the fastest recorded Guinness speed of 216 words per minute. I've gotten to 90 WPM on an unfamiliar article at 89% accuracy but anything under 90% is not worth noting.

Imma get Ash to find a typing game for the arcade lol.
