It's adapted from a game. They skip part 2 and 4 because the producers don't want to adapt those games.

They've all done their part and pave way, it's time for the new generation now. This is a good thing. All those other stars wouldn't want to be doing game adaptation over and over. They're branching out their career.

Chinese Paladin 1 definitely has a lot more going for it, but CP3 introduced me to Tang Yan, so maybe I'm bias, but I like her as an actress, and I enjoyed her character. That and I love the soundtrack. Then again the Chinese Paladin franchise got great OST. Looking forward to the next one.

A dub version is being work on by SPP. But unfortunately, they don't sell DVDs anymore it seems. They put their work exclusively on their SPPTV service.
