what type? Yag, IPL, CO2? You didn't get any results? Sometimes, you have to so multiple treatments and different settings/frequencies. Most likely, the operator had the settings really low so you would have to do many treatments, safer way anyways. I had tattoo removal done twice, and it does work wonders.
