I never stayed in hotel when I was there but my friend who had recommended Luxor. She said she had good experience there and raved about the service and food. All I know is the hotel looks like a pyramid. I plan to check it out in the future. I'm not sure about their prices though.

I used to stayed in Monte Carlo with my boyfriend.

Pro: Parking lot is walking distance to the hotel entrance.
Decent room with good rate.
Conveniently located right on the strip and connected to the Aria.
Easy access to tram makes it quick and affordable to travel to other places.
Food court in the hotel, easy access to late night snack.
They let us check in early without having to pay a fee.

Con: The rooms itself definitely needs a face lift. ( a little outdated )

I always hear people rave about the buffets in Vegas. Are they really all that? Have you tried any?

The buffet at Vegas isn't as good compare to where I live. It's just rumor, the food isn't all that. It's actually decent normal to me, not worth the hype or the expensive charge. Just a big selection of foods and lots of them, that's about it.

Rio - Village Seafood Buffet

One of the expensive and best buffets in Las Vegas is a must experience especially if you are a seafood fan is the Village Seafood buffet offered at Rio. The only all-seafood, all-the-time, all-you-can-eat experience in Las Vegas features lobster, snow crab legs, shrimp, fresh shucked oysters, sushi and much more. And of course, all the traditional accompaniments and desserts that make a seafood dinner complete. Rio's nautical-theme buffet, complete with American, Mexican, Italian, and Chinese serving stations is just deliiiicious. At the American station, seafood salads, snow-crab legs, oysters on the half shell, shrimp, seafood gumbo, grilled salmon, broiled swordfish, oysters Rockefeller, poached roughy, steamed clams, and lobster tails are just mind boggling. Mesmerizing collection of lobster, mmmm, crab and sushi are also incorporated into the buffet selection.

Rio Village Seafood buffet price is $38 for adults and $24 for children.

Oh my goodness. Just reading about it makes my mouth water. I am a huge fan of seafood so will definitely check that buffet out when I return. What are some good places to eat where you live?

Where are you currently at right now? Are you visiting here only or planning to stay for good?

I tried out the Rio Village Seafood buffet on my Dec 21 weekend trip. The crab leg was sweet and the salmon sashimi was definitely fresh, melt in my mouth. Definitely didn't care for the shrimp quality, it was so so. I liked the crème brulee also. We stay at the Rio hotel so buffet was just right down stair. Very convenient. I will try another famous buffet on my Jan 10th trip. My goal is to actually pin point which buffet goes on my top list to eat there for my future review. :) I want to see what all the rave about the buffet there is all about.

* I didn't care for their lobster tail either, wasn't cook to perfection.

Rio Hotel in Las Vegas

Pro: They have Wetzel Pretzel in there, my spot to go.
Two famous buffet inside, The Seafood Village and the Carnival Buffet. :D
Located very close to China Town and not too far from the strip. (offers a shuttle to the strip)
The room comes with a refrigerator, Monte Carlo didn't have it.
They have a Keurig coffee machine with coffee in the room, almost unheard of in Las Vegas.

Con: Pho in there is $13 for a small bowl, drive out for a pho place. :)

Our Rio room was a suites, offer lots of space including a secure safe for personal items. I didn't like the trash can being so tiny, we had lots of trash for that two night stay. Wish they upgrade it bigger someday. We booked the room with (two) Grand Queen Bed.

That seafood dish looks great Hunnie. The shrimps look overcooked though. I like my shrimp crunchy. You're like me, I'm also into creme brulee, that and flan.

I like the way the Asian restaurants usually cook their lobster, stir fry in scallion, jalapeno, onion There is a restaurant in Garden Grove area called Royal Capital that makes good lobster. Not sure if it's still good since I haven't been there in ages.

Wow hunnie ....You know I never been to Vegas man. It looks like a place I would love to go with a bunch of my guys friends like they did in the Hangover.

My boyfriends people is going along on this weekend trip with us. They're staying at a different hotel though. Just going to meet up and hang out together once we get there. The other side are going in a big group. A couple of cars are driving up there this time. Some is renting their car. So he wanted to go again and join them. So here I go again.

You should really plan up a trip up there when the package deal is right. It is a really fun place to hang out with friends or a couple trip. When you take the elevator down stair from your room, the casino is right at your finger tip. It has lots to do from partying people to sight seeing, all the way to people who just loves to take pictures. A little bit for everyone to enjoy. There's China Town, Clothing Outlet, M&M store, Cola store, and cool stuff on the strip. People walking with alcohol in their hands all the time. :D
