Sashimi

It's pretty good, but definitely not ideal. I would avoid fish oil supplements altogether if you're eating too much fish. Sashimi is theoretically healthy, but unless your restaurant uses wild caught fish (and most don't) it's not as healthy as it would have been ancestrally. Farmed fish have much, much, much lower levels of omega 3s. And, of course, the pollution levels of the oceans (and thus, the fish) are also concerns. Reduce sashimi to 2-3 times a week.

A pricy meal for me, since I prefer fresh ones. I think this would be repulsive for Happy's liking. :)

I have this weird habit. I don't like eating any kind of meat that is pink or red. It has to be really well done for me. Even salmon when it is cooked I still don't go near it. I'm okay with eating pepperoni and ham though. Everyone in my family loves sushi and salmon except for me.

It's just a preference you have, I don't think it's weird. Happy doesn't like raw stuff either. He won't even drop by this thread. :)

But you did, so you have courage.

It looks colorful and yummy for those who like it raw.
Bluebird doesn't has an appetite for anything that raw especially fishes.
Medium raw egg is tolerable; other than that definitely a no & no.

Yup, more for you and me baby. I love sashimi. Had some earlier today. I ate till I got sick. Heh. Salmon is my favorite.

I would overeat my salmon too. Gonna go to the Seafood Buffet at Reno to eat them this December. :)

Sashime is an awesome plat, and I really like this, but be careful about the quality of fish (salmon and tuna), because you would be sick if it is not very frech. I know what I say, I have worked for a Luxury Japanese Restaurant for 2 years.

I love sashimi but after I went to a very famous fine dine Restaurant owned by Luke Ngyuen, I got really sick and can't look at sashimi again since. :(

I think that the fish must not be very frech !!!! you could be easily sick if you eat raw fish in the bad quality, raw meat or fish must be frech to be good for your health !!!

Ho, my dear !!! raw fish and meat are good for you health (but I'm agree that meat need some quick cook, but not too much !!), because hot temperature will distroy some vitamins like vitamin C ... and don't forget that Man kind are made for eat raw meat because Man kind used to be a hunter - cullender, so they must eat the fresh meat as much as they can immediatly after they killed their preys, because they can carry so much with them !!! The Japanese seems to be healthy for their old age, so watching how they eat can be beneficial to our health here. I didn't think much about the skin, but the omega does wonders for our brain.
